Title: A DIY bandsaw for the home shop !
Post by: Pigi on May 22, 2017, 11:43:43 AM
I've published a new page for my blog that could be of interest.

http://pigi-machinering.blogspot.it/2017/05/a-diy-bandsaw-for-shop.html (http://pigi-machinering.blogspot.it/2017/05/a-diy-bandsaw-for-shop.html)

Here the basic arrangement.

I hope I'm not violating any rule by publishing the link. As I told it's easier for me to keep everything inside a post.
If I'm violating I will try to arrange differently.

Cheers

P.s. some of you that read other forum may find it a duplicate, but Some that don't may find this interessing.

I'm gathering bits together to have a go at making one. I'm using old washing machine pulleys for the wheels.
I'm wondering about using the third (idler) wheel to do the tension and leave the tracking to the top wheel.
Sort of "one wheel one function" ?
