Title: Just Landed
Post by: Ken I on July 20, 2012, 03:03:03 PM
Another castaway to land on a promising desert isle.

I'm a 60 year old Certified Mech Eng approaching retirement and getting into model engine building.

I own my own robotics company (last 20 years) but am quite happy to defer that to my Son (which means he does all the work and I keep all the money) and planning on a fruitful retirement.

Always wanted to build model engines and in fact purchased my first mini-mill and lathe for my home workshop over 12 years ago but apart from work related machining only got round to building model engines in the last two years.

I enjoy curious designs with a  high wow or WTF factor.

I don't make anything without drawings (a lifelong habit) and freely post the designs for others to use. I will post these shortly once I've figured my way around the site and settled in.

I just dare the other site to winge about copyright violation.

My other hobbies involve racing slotcars, the real thing (although apart from track days I haven't raced competetively since 2008) and restoring vintage jukeboxes.

Thanks for having me.

Ken

Welcome aboard Ken  :)

Please close the door there in C.T. - I'm trying to look forward to a shop weekend without a freezing wind blowing from down South  ;)

Kind regards, Arnold

Hi Ken.

Yep, seems we are all finding the watering hole.
