The first day of the Bristol Show was very busy with a large appreciative crowd of visitors.
There were a large number of I/C engines on display at this years show.
On the Internal Combustion Engine Builders Group stand were many brilliant examples of the Model Engine Makers art
This was eye candy at it's sweetest.

This delightful 1/4 scale Gnome rotary engine was built by Mike Cole

The star of the show was without doubt the superb 1/3 scale 4.5 Litre Blower Bentley being painstakingly built by Mike Sayers

The Bentley radiator shell was hand beaten in nickel silver by Mike Sayers. And that Bentley emblem is beyond words

Tom Pasco designed and built this supercharged two stroke V twin. The design is based on one section of the Rolls Royce Crecy V12 two stroke aero engine.

Stephen Wessel is the builder of this magnificent 1/3 scale model of the Armstrong Siddeley Lynx Radial engine
I think you will all agree that this display of engines will be a hard act to follow.

Nice pics Mike, I went today but forgot to take my camera! The Lynx radial was a lovely engine but for me the best was Mike Sayers' Bentley. The workmanship in that engine is quite simply breathtakingly superb. I spent quite a few minutes thumbing through the folders containing the build pics and it seems Mike has some seriously nice kit at his disposal in his workshop too! I also spotted a couple of very nice stationary engines, beautifully finished, made by some chap called Jason. Unfortunately the man himself wasn't with them as I would have liked to have put a face to a name and stopped for a chat!

You may yet be lucky Jason, after many years of not being available (I saw a second hand set sell for £450 two years ago >:() these sets of castings turned up last year at the Bristol show at a price to me go :whoohoo:
My supplier didn't want the hassle of doing production runs and gave the patterns to Kirt at Hemmingway so they won't be as cheap from him :-\ but they will be available again.
