Hi all. I've been "playing" at machining for 2 years now. I have a great passion for anything mechanical especially steam engines. I have built the Beng's Danni engines as a first attempt at machining. I have spent a lot of time making tools, often tools to make tools :D My current projects include Rudy's Model Steam Tractor as a prelude to something larger and more detailed, and the Benson vertical engine (no castings, entirely fabricated). I recently got distracted by acquiring a couple of toy steam engine boilers and decided to use one to feed a Elmer's wobbler (I don't think they will take much pressure).
I also get distracted from neighbours who see the workshop as a handy resource. I recently made a custom footplate for a motorbike as the pillion is disabled and needs extra support for her right foot. So absolutely anything goes on in the shop.

Hi there Cookie,
Welcome to the forum!
I've been working on building Rudy's Steam Tractor for some time now. My builds almost wrapping up (I hope!).
Please post some pics of your build. I'd love to see what you've done and where your at.

Welcome to the forum, I lived in North Yorkshire for just over 50 years before defecting over the border to the West, I still work in N. Yorks though. Where are you based we might be fairly close.

I'm up in Richmond, the real one with a lass and a hill :D. I've found plenty of hills but the lass must be in hiding.
