Just a short video of its first run on air (20psi)

That's a beauty Kev and a nice runner as well. It's amazing to me just how large Elmers engines can be even at 2x scale. Well done!!

Thanks Bill, I have done a few at double size the challenge of machining them on an ML7 and an SX2 mini mill is part of the fun
-
Very nice !! Did the same one in double scale in 2016. Like your take on the cylinder and piston arms.

Thanks Brian, I started this in 2016 but is seemed to stall for over a year.
I did not drill the cylinder holes in this as per elmers drawing but corrected the bottom end stall with a modification to the crankshaft valve timing.

Kev,
That's a great runner and a good looker, too.
I had forgotten about that one from Elmer: Time to go back and look at the full lineup again..........

Added these tubes to the cylinder holes this year to keep all the oil from the cylinder getting all over the moving parts below. Always made a mess when running the engine and next to impossible to clean up.

Hello Kev,
I sure am glad that you completed this engine, I have been following you on this build since almost the start ( on the other forum ) and anxious to see it running. Really looks good and a nice runner. Kudos  :praise2:
Have a great day,
Thomas

thanks guys I must post here more often the feedback is very nice to receive

Neat idea with the tubes. I've noted that in my books.

Please do Kev. What do you have in mind for a next project?

Hi Kev,
Very nice engine! I like the opposing movement there.
Where is the valving for the air? I don't see an eccentric or anything, but there has to be some mechanism somewhere!
Thanks for the video.

Thanks guys.
The valve is of the rotating type built into the crankshaft, the eccentrics are behind the large round disc on the front, the attached photo shows the eccentrics and the valve ports lower down
Next projects Im just completing a Stuart #4 assembly with 95% of the machining done then I will be doing elmers mine engine #29 and the tall open col #32, will be doing these mainly in brass and standard scale, there are a lot of common parts so I will do them together I think

Great Kev! Hope you will consider posting a build log on one or more of them.
