My new LMS high torque Mini mill has a t slot on the front edge of the table with a round hole at each end.
Regular tee nuts don't fit, so what is the purpose of this slot??

A few inches in, small round things.
The slot is for the table limit stops.
Are they not fitted? Usually right at the ends of that slot, out of the way.
But if there are holes to remove them, maybe they are in the packing somewhere

Wot Dave said!
The bracket in the center is the stop....you traverse until the stop hits the piece in the center.

None of the smaller Sieg machines come with any stops so no need to go looking for them.
Slot is also used if you have power feed to take the switch activators

Found a site that has plans for the stops and center bracket.
That'll be the next project.
