Greetings!!! My name is Julian and I live in N. Georgia. New to the forum but have been trying to learn something about machining for several years. I am very senior so I might be slow to grasp things!!!
I have A Clausing 8520 mill, EMCO Maximat V10-P lathe, Craftsman 6" 618 lathe, and loads of accessories . Most I don't even know how to use!!!
I have built 9 of Elmer's engines, and currently working on a # 29 Mine Engine. Be prepared for lots of questions!!!

:hi: Julian,
Sounds like you have been very busy. Any chance of seeing the engine you have made :)

Hi and welcome Julian. I grew up in the Atlanta area but in my youth, we did a lot of camping all around the N. Georgia area. Lots of fond memories though I am now in N. Carolina and have been for many years. It does sound like you have been busy. Looking forward to seeing pictures as well once you get that sorted out. There is a sticky post over in the forum help area that may help with picture posting though with recent changes in third party hosting sites, it may be somewhat dated.

Welcome ! Also "very senior" & live in the Peachtree Corners / Gwinnett County area. I have a Clausing 8530, South Bend 9" Model A, Atlas 10" TH54 & a few other things. Just the opposite of Bill, I grew up in Hickory, NC but transferred to Atlanta with the Bell System in 1973 & retired from the Bell System. Mostly self-taught but have been around this sort of thing for many years. Would also like to get together. I have also built the wood beam engine.
