Post by: 1hand on July 25, 2012, 02:44:24 AM
I split my shop up in between the basement furance room, and a corner out in the garage.

Hey Matt!

Glad to see you made it here.

I remember that shop. Looks like you've added a few things, though.

Matt, I've been thinking I need a rest for my MIG welder gun. Your looks pretty fancy. Got a close up?

Hi Matt,

13th picture down, on the shelf below the toaster oven, to the far left is a red machine!
What is it and what does it do?
Looks pretty interesting!

I'm going to guess that it's a drill sharpener, or end-mill sharpener?

I wish I could motivate myself to organise my shop like that. It looks great.

A valve grinder my grandpa used when he used to rebuild old tractor engines. I thought it would be a donor for a tool post grinder for my lathe or a tooling grinder of some sort.

Hi Matt,
I used a very similar valve grinder on the ships for the diesel generator valves. It also had an attachment to mount the seats which were removable. Very nice item. Maybe you could modify the valve holder with a different chuck to keep the grinding dust away from the lathe. Or make bigger engines.
