On my current project I need a cutter for 45 degree chamfers and 3/8" corner rounding. I used a good quality carbide 1/2" shank router bits to do the job.
Used only on brass and aluminum they worked very well and the cutters showed no sign of wear.
On the round over bit I removed the lower guide bearing to use the bit. Ran both bits in a R-8 collet.
Would not recommend for steel or other such materials. Brass, aluminum, plastic, etc. Even wood ! ::)
