The lugs are made in two pieces soft soldered together and the wedges are cast in a hollowed out shape to make it easier to file when fitting. There are also raised portions integral with the base to reduced the amount of metal removal when planed flat. these are where the A frames and the main bearings sit.

This seems to have gone only a new post .......but will return to the original next time.........
