I've been watching here for a while,, don't know where I should post my steam project,, a 1890's navy steam launch engine 1/6th scale,, from plans? I have copies of the navy plans for this engine,, from kits? using a Stuart Turner compound launch kit as a donor for the block and some other parts.. from castings? working with a full steam guy I made waxes and had parts cast for engine conversion.. as what I think were some of the make or break parts have been completed looks like this madness might work..

Hi and welcome Todd. Looks like you are a fellow North Carolinian from your profile....glad to have you join in the fun. As far as where to place the build, any of those sub-for a would work. I would suggest you pick the most appropriate one and put it there. Is it mostly castings, or are you using the plans to fabricate the majority of the non-major parts? Either way you should be fine and I look forward to seeing it.

Bill
