Title: New small addition to the shop
Post by: V 45 on April 04, 2016, 10:52:00 PM
This little gem was offered to me last week. I couldn't turn it down since I need one !! Besides the price was ridiculous... ZERO !!! I really like those prices !! The only thing I can see wrong with it is no hole through the base. Even though it's really not an issue...I could make plates to fit whatever I needed to press out or in. It just was unusual to see no cut out. But I'm still tickled it has a new home...mine !! :)

Nice, were they giving away any others?  I have been looking for one of those myself.

It does seem odd that there is no hole in the base, but hey...the price was right. You can always drill your own hole  :D

Nice Score!

I have a baby Dake on my bench at work (about the same size as yours) and it doesn't have a hole either. It is very handy and we have a larger one in the shop so the lack of a hole isn't much of a problem.

You will enjoy it.

That's a lie. The holes are crisp and perfectly round. Camera just doesn't do them justice.  ;D

See? Bring out the inner kid and you'll see things no adult (and some forum members) can't.

OK Newby question here................what do you use it for? Looks like some sort of press.

I need to know................. so I'll know whether to be jealous or not that I don't have one of my own.

I've been thinking of getting one myself.

All I know about them is they're handy to press things like bearings into bearing blocks.
Better control and more power than trying to use an old drill press.  :-[

And here all this time I thought you just got a bigger hammer!    :hammerbash:
