Hi it's been ages since my last post but I'm back with a little project I started today!
-
I started with the Base. I happened to have a 12" long bit of 55mm brass bar 😏 just lying around so started there it took about 30-40 minutes of expletives and emerged from my lathe came the basic plank profile and a nice 3/8 bsp hole 😁

Struggling to upload a image will get one up as soon as

This is the Base with the steam inlet 3/8BSP) and profile visible

Very cool Lego! I have a whistle or 2 around here myself. Fun to build and even more fun watching the kids play with them.
-
After a little bit more playing the internal profile was finished and ready for milling
:whoohoo:

Nice project Lego. Looking forward to seeing it come together too. One thing to keep in mind when posting pictures is that a maximum resolution of 800 x 600 works just fine for the forum and allows those with slower speed connections to view them as well. For some members a 3MB image takes forever to download and the lower resolution also takes much less space on the server without losing image quality.
