Title: MEM has moved!
Post by: AdeV on February 03, 2013, 08:41:02 AM
Well, here we are on our new host - hopefully, everyone's made it across with us, and here's looking forward to a nice period of crash-free MEMming!  :whoohoo: :cartwheel:

Title: Avatars and Attachments
Post by: AdeV on February 03, 2013, 09:39:52 AM
There seems to be a problem with avatars not making the crossover; and I seem to be unable to fix the "attachments folder not writeabe".

This _might_ be a DNS thing, in which case it will fix itself in a couple of days, or it might not be. Looks like it's time for my first helpdesk ticket...

Attachments and avatars should now be working, seems I forgot to set some folder paths.... Oops. Blame the fact it was dark o'clock on a Sunday, not a time I am used to seeing that's for sure...

Please PM me (or any of the admins or moderators) if you notice any other bugs  :pinkelephant:

We're aware of a problem that comes up once in a while related to file caching.  It's not serious, and is a known issue with the SMF software our forum runs on - though it only happens in rare cases.

If you receive a message similar to the one below, please just refresh your browser and things will be OK again:

We'll try and get a fix for this problem as soon as possible.

Kind regards, Arnold

Just a quick reminder, for those of you who altered your HOSTS file to ensure uninterrupted MEM access; now would be a good time to remove the entry you created. Your DNS records are sure to be updated by now; and on the off chance we have to move again (touch wood... so far, no major issues), you would be at risk from the forum disappearing entirely...

Cheers!
Ade.
