I made this 10" disc sander many years ago mainly for woodworking using an old motor. and have added extra operations over time as they were needed but I fancied one of those 1" belt sanders to get in the places the disc couldn't, but didn't really have the room for another machine, so when I saw this Silverline power file I thought I could adapt it to do the small jobs. they are quite cheap on ebay.

The boss is the second fixing point and it also allows a bit of adjustment to get the belt vertical, the clamp around the body is not enough to hold the machine firmly. in the picture the socket screw is where I had to drill into the machine.
