When I first came up with all the headings for engine builds, I thought that I had it right, nothing complicated and very easy to understand.
Let people have the choice to view what they like.
These two CNC headings were a special consideration by myself, to save people asking if something had been made with the use of CNC or not.
There is no stigma attached at all to using CNC for what you do, it is just the way you like to carry out your builds.
So come on members, lets get some of those CNC builds shown.

I dare say they'll turn up John, just wait for the dust to settle a bit.

They will come John!
I know that George Race is building his magnetic clock with his CNC mill.
I presume that would be posted somewhere else though...
Give it a while and things will start to pop up!

Gents,
I'm not worried, I thought that they may be a little shy, and needed a bit of a kick in the pants to bump start it off. ;D

If you build it, they will come.

On the contrary, when I first saw the sub-forum, I didn't fell a stigma but rather, a welcoming feeling. So, thanks for that.
I've got some builds planned, and in progress. Just too busy around home these days....
In the mean time, here is a CNC queen for ya. But rest assured, all of the turning, bending, tin-bashing and welding were done manually.

Steve,
I am a hands and feet man myself, but technology must move on I suppose.
I myself was nearly there, just before I lost the full use of my legs, about two years ago, I was about to purchase one of the Seig CNC machines, but fate, and now failing brainpower has put them well beyond my reach.
I am nearly there, I have DRO's on almost everything and a Divisionmaster for my RT and soon my dividing head.

Let people have the choice to view what they like.
I like to look at them all - multiple sections just complicates things
Any chance of having a latest post list within the Engine build section heading?
-
Bill,
If you enter the site by the home page and look at the Engine Build child board, it should show you which heading has new posts in it.
If we did as you asked, people would be asking for the same in every board. We need to keep the site simple to understand and get around, which I think we have achieved.

Bill;
From the main forum list, click on the icon to the left of Engine Builds (that is, the "pieces of paper" picture - that will show you a list of topics with unread posts in ALL child boards of that board. If you want to see the unread posts (since your last visit) in a single child board category (e.g. Barstock - own design) then click on Engine Builds to see the whole boad; then again click on the icon next to the category you want to view, and you will see the unread posts since your last visit.
To see all unread posts in a category, follow the instructions above, and then click on the "Show all unread topics" link in the footer bar.
I will add this to the list for a FAQ.

Thanks Ade,
That's actually much better than a engine only list
Cheers

This is a link to my projects - mostly CNC assisted.

I seem to have a lot of projects in process. Once these are finished, I'm looking for an I.C. engine but this is a sample of what I've done recently:
The plans for this started as a Moriya Stirling fan. It's now half sized and I've strayed greatly from the plans.

Here's a current in progress Stirling Fan double size :
