Mr Broadley of the "Broadley Spindle"
« on: October 23, 2020, 12:33:59 PM »
In 1992 D Broadley wrote a nice article in ME describing an angular contact bearing spindle preloaded with belleville washers, an arrangement that is used in various light machine spindles (i.e. Unimat 3, tool post grinders etc).

I'm working on a spindle design and build article and would like to use one of Mr. Broadley's drawings.  Does anybody know Mr Broadley?  I get that it was 28 years ago, but if he's hopefully still with us and someone knows him I'd very much like to make contact to inquire about using one of his drawings, with full credit of course.

Thanks!

Mike
