I am taking a break from the MEM show today as SWMBO (aka Penny) and I are celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Yes, really, we have survived 50 years together and still going strong.
Thanks to Covid, we are not on the holiday that we were hoping to take, just going out for a celebratory meal, then back home to drink our bottle of champagne.

Sonia and I tried to celebrate our Golden Anniversary +1 back in April. UK was in full lock-down, we could not even leave the house.

Congratulations. Denise and I celebrated our 30th Sept. 1. We'll likely not make it to our 50th as we're already old!

Tradition has it she gets an unmounted gem of some sort. Traditionally in a small custom make jewelry box. Here is the one for our 30th.

Congratulations 50 years together is a phenomenal feat. Our 22nd is coming up in October. If we make it to 50 I'd be 88 and I can't say how old my wife would be.

The 50th seems to be a major point in the affair. I remember my parents 50th we had a big "to do" for them. On the other hand for ours I don't remember any thing particular, I guess because we were  out here 1800 miles from all the other kin folk.  So in Oct when it gets to be the 63rd it won't be anything to write home about either I guess. :-)   We just keep on going on.  :-)
