Can we show work in progress? Are outside interests welcome? My local model engineering show used to have heritage railway stands etc.

Yes and Yes, we had a stand for the ladies when I was a member of the Guildford club where they would exhibit what they had made while their fellas were in the workshops.

This may be the first show where Jo can't walk out with new castings for Surus!

But we could show new castings that we have and Surus does not just to rub it in for interest :LittleDevil:

Jo will you be live streaming a turning demo throughout the show :stickpoke:

I don't know; it's a virtual show.  Maybe Sirius would be happy with virtual castings?

Its a bit like the old saying "see food, eat food", his is "see castings, need castings"   :pinkelephant:

If Jo takes up Jason’s idea she will need a ginormous refectory dining table to fit them on. 😀

In that case perhaps neither you or Surus need any extra castings😀😀😀

I'm thinking about having my show exhibits on a daily theme  I could do a day on each:

Oscillators,
Alyn Foundry models
Stuart Turner Engines.
Beam Engines.
Other Steam Engines.
Simple Aero Engines,
Four Cylinder model engines
Wall Model Engines.
Larger Aero Engines (Castings only  ::))

Oh, I had assumed it was just a weekend show, but now I look again back at the start, no duration was specified.

I was thinking that if the gate keeper was a New Zealander, the gates could be opened based on Auckland time, then we need a member in Samoa, or Aleutian Islands to close the doors and turn out the lights, we could take advantage of being truly international to get an extra day.

Come to think of it, the opener should be in Tonga, and get a further additional hour.

But if we can secure the venue for nine days, why not?

I think I'll just do as usual and show the newly completed engines over the past 12months since the last show and maybe a bit of work in progress.

Jo you may need an extension to the show for the extra "uncompleted models" catagory  :stir:
