Would it be easier to mount off the shelf sliding track at an angle, then just a simple angled cut to your wooden framing.

Also if you need to get the perspex out it is better to have a deeper top track so you can lift the panel upwards to free the bottom and take it out. If not you will need access from the end.

The tracks are Delrin Jason, and will screw in at assembly    There will be access from the ends through the windows..     Once I have the tracks where I want them they'll be screwed into the framing.   I'll look into cutting the top tracks deeper so that I can lift them out, but it's not necessarily a feature I want in the event of a broken cutter.

Hello Dave,

Could you use these or similar extrusions as the outer frame for you new cabinet. Just slip in the ply panels with a little glue. just think'in   :noidea:

Over here you can get PVC track which would screw to your timber framework, though you would need to source 6.35mm glass, best talk to Jo about that one!

https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/product/chasmood-no-76-double-channel-2-metres-overall-height-127mm-width-1984mm-glass-size-635mm-812117

Also available as an aluminium extrusion.

I could, but I've cut the wood already.    Next step is to start the assembly....I may spend some time doing that but it's really hot today....we'll see

I got the aluminum, with black powder coat, on a while enclosure.   Should look good,  I need to recut the sills to fit the rails in, but that shouldn't be so hard

Off to a good start   Front panel is together...and have started to work on the side panels.   I have a couple of panels to cut, but the lumber is done.

Glues and screws....should work very well.    I'll bondo any offensive bits, and put some fast drying urethane on.   and then a good healthy cote of Rustoleum white....

What I did find today was that a tray along the entire front of the machine is quite doable.  It doesn't restrict access to the mill in the least as long as it's fairly narrow    6 inch wide....so I'll change my design to allow for that.

Started to assemble and have it sitting in place.    It "feels good....top bar looks bent ...but it's actually straight....I checked it with a straight edge....

Window runners came today as well.
