Dave and Ava,

At last some good news for you all in these troubled times.

Sometimes, it can be a long and winding road

I cannot imagine being 17 and having to endure such a challenge, but I am very glad to hear that she is doing well!  Saying a few prayers in hope that Ava's success in this struggle continues for a very long time to come.

One final leg of treatment is radiation for 3 weeks 5 days a week...for "clean up" in the area where it all started.....BOTH times!

The first time she was 13.....she's been clean for 4 years....but it came back with a vengeance....luckily we found it in time....we almost didn't!

Good to hear. With the pandemic it's scary enough to go to a hospital these days. And to add those treatments on, I can't imagine.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

The bone marrow transplant was the scariest.    While in progress, your immune system is pretty much nonexistent....bad enough in normal times.....terrifying otherwise.
