I slightly simplified mine by making the end blocks out of round stock and chamfering the end.    But that's a matter of taste\

I got the knobs done tonight, just the washers left.....in the morning...been up since about 4:30am....though I think I'll lap the pivots just a bit.

It really is very versatile.

OK....I shamed myself to just getting it done.....with washers, and with the pivots lapped.    The tapered posts have a great feel, and will lock up with just a very gentle twist.

I'm going to leave it bright.   I like the looks.

In due time Crueby…..my life is not my own these days.....at least I'm working for a few weeks...and I'm putting the shop to work if it will turn a buck or two.   This thing can't go on for ever.....
