I would just hire a cleaner. No gears to break and easily replaceable. :ROFL: :lolb:
Tape the shop elves to the vacuum cleaner, and hang cookies just out of reach in front of them...?

I've just found the actual supplier https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Large-Diameter-Precision-Plastic-Derlin-Acetal_62260603695.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.0.0.37185f32jtXP0h

Need a shipping quote  :thinking:

Jo

Well done Jo, was that a lucky find or the result of a lot of searching?

Will the MOQ of 100 items be a problem? or does your robovac eat them that quickly?

Awww Jo, a lady with your talent and you let a few little gears get to you. You could make your own cutters as well think of the experience you would get making them........  :stickpoke:

Its a moulded gear  ::)

The chinese company have got back to me, even though they list the gear as 10 offs on their website they won't ship under 1000 of them.

Looks like I am forced to buy the entire assembly again  :wallbang:

Very true. One of our other members is a logistics engineer I used to work with he explained that with the frequency of design updates it is not economical to carry spare as there are so many variations of a single design within a year.

In the old days we would do "Line Replaceable Modules" because the guys on the front line did not have the equipment to fault find and the vast quantities of possible spares was too many to make them rapidly available.

The modern way is to make fast and cheap and look to flog the consumer another one the day after the guarantee runs out, the problem is they don't respect that in the EU law under warranty it is required to work for 5 years   :rant:
