Bill - I can sympathise with your great loss, but also the relief that she not in pain anymore - as I had the same feelings when my mother died from brain cancer.

The dogs will have a very positive effect for you now - as you will have to be there for them and they most certainly will be there for you.

Best wishes

Per

Dear Bill

This is very sad news to hear and you have my sincere condolences and I would like to offer my sympathies.
I have been where you are now, my wife and I were together for almost 40 years until she was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrigs Disease, That is why I started my metal hobby machining to get some "me" time after taking care of her everyday for two years.
And yes, each day was worse than the day before.
After she died I went though all of the usual steps of grieving but it has been almost 13 years now and, as they say IT DOES GET BETTER, I now have a wonderful woman in my life and Life is good again.
I enjoy working in my basement shop again, in fact you have offered words of encouragement, and help to me over the past several years, Thank You.

Take Care my friend, It will get better!
