Sad news
« on: June 03, 2020, 10:12:53 PM »
As some of you are aware my presence on the forum has been sparse over the last few months. A few of you are aware of why. I have been in a caretaker role since my retirement two years ago, and I am sad to say my wife passed away on May 22nd after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary arterial hypertension. This is a progressive disease which gradually robs your body of the ability to oxygenate the blood, and sadly there is no real treatment for it. I can only take some consolation from the fact that she passed peacefully and I believe is in a better place now with her parents and her beloved son who died shorty after we were married some 21 years ago.

I am grateful also that she was able to enjoy for some months the new home that she was so helpful in picking out so many things for even if online which I had alluded to previously in the shop renovation thread.  I and our eight (yes eight) dogs are adjusting to the new normal and I will be returning more often to the forum.  I must thank all of the other moderators and admins for taking up the slack in my absence and I look forward to becoming much more involved again.

My condolences, that must have been a difficult process to travel through. You will see her in all those items that she picked out, her memory lives on.

Hi Bill, I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Words fail me at such moments, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.  I had missed you recently but now the reasons are clear.  You have done well to support her through her illness.
