Hi Dave,
The Tormach looks quite at home in your shop, it will help keep your mind off other things. What you going to tell the Missus when she finds out what you have been buying while she is away? :stir:

Stay safe

But She said to bid low, never expecting you to win.  :stir:

It's a cunning investment on her part:  she knows Dave will be out from under her feet for a few more months during the lock down now  :mischief:.

Hi Jo,

And everyone,

My wife has me out from underfoot....Jo knows this, but few others do.

My Daughters cancer came back this winter...February or so.    She has been clean for 4 years, but we didn't get past that last 2% chance or relapse.    It nearly killed her.   There were NO symptoms, and it only manifested itself in the form of a lump after it nearly closed her windpipe.  And she found a lump.

We've been in a head long battle with that.   And we're winning!....knock on wood!

Her current situation is she's 3 weeks into a bone marrow transplant.   She's already had 5 rounds of chemo.    Because she's a minor, my wife is at the hospital...in Boston....with her for the duration, I'm home with my Son.

Prognosis is excellent!..    She's responding well to the transplant, and her numbers are coming up!

She's the toughest PERSON I've ever seen.    She's been through some serious hell with this....and her wit and patented sarcasm never fails......we didn't raise a snowflake..

( She calls her IV stand with all the tubes, pumps and things her boy friend.......  8) )

Dealing with all this under Covid....was a challenge...and still is....but we're doing it!....

The mill choice was an opportunity to perhaps start a business,  Consulting, prototyping, ect,   to have something WE can control.....

Anna is my partner, of 21 years, and my best friend....and WE are blessed she's with us doing what she's doing.    Epoxy got nothing on my Viking Princess...I'll tell you that!

Dave

It definitely has more staying power than your average "teenage boyfriend"  ;)

I hope your son's home schooling now includes learning all about CNC milling and he has something he wants to make before his father tries hogging it  ::)

:lolb:  OK - that is good black humor (I'm not sure that translate well to English, as it might have a very different meaning in the US)

You have mentioned her relapse, so it's very nice to hear that she's doing better - really hope it continue to do so.
