Pretty cool, Dave!  :cartwheel:

Be careful moving it around!  Don't want to damage that leg again!
It's good to take a rest, have a plan, and take it nice and slow :D

Dave:

Good rules. We just got done moving my mill and lathe to their new home. Took a forklift to get them off the trailer. But once on the ground it was steel pipes to roll them on and a 5-6' pinch bar. They're safely in place now needing only minor adjustment.

But we had most of the place empty. Looks like you'll be moving around a lot of obstacles. I don't envy that move, but I do have some envy for the Tormach.

Send updates. Thanks.

OK   today's mission,    rotate in its current location 90 degrees, remove the monitor boom and the estop box, and it should go down the current 3 ft wide isle past the rolling bench, rotate another 90 and it should go right into place where the Clausing was.    I need to shim it up just a bit on the skids as the base feet are touching down, and making it hard to move

Method,    pinch bar and some sweat and some cedar shingles as wedges.

From there I can evaluate if the boom should stay on the right or go on the left....or mount all together differently.    I'll have to come up with an operator envelope so to speak.   tools on the wall?...In a cart next to it?   Floor space is at a premium, so not sure about a cart.  But you really want everything you need at arms reach.   Vise jaws, tool holders, straps and clamps ect.    Need a spot for the tool set station....decisions decisions....

Then reassemble the control system and reroute the cabling.....plug in, machine is 115 volt. Then level and check tram once I can jog the axes,....

My air compressor is held up in shipping from Amazon....I suspect the burning Amazon shipping depot in CA may have something to do with that... ::)....

I'll need a work light solution.....need to work on that....   I might go with "Annular LED" solution.....less crap to get in the way, put the light where I need it.

Take it gently, another couple of days is not the end of the world. One back strain pays for several professional helpers. I decided that when we moved apartments, I pay, my back survives  :wine1:

I hear ya Roger

The only thing I'm driving today is the pinch bar.....things I could do 15 years ago.....aren't there anymore....

Right now it has me blocked between the inside garage entrance and the door entrance...so walking a lot....though my shoulder is not happy at the moment.....

Sweet
It is the journey that matters, not the destination

Sometimes, it can be a long and winding road
