Hi Pete,
It's kind of fun making the helical gears once you get the system sorted out. Since I learned how to make them I use them for a variety of applications.

Hi guys I want to start posting again when I can, right now I'm messing around with the dissy and the SIS ignition I bought some time ago.
Tonight I opened up the little plastic bag to have a look at the magnet and I notice one end is red, I presume the red end faces the sensor?
the ignition came with no instructions and all my other engines have used points.
Part of the reason for tonights post is to get the build where I can find it again lol

Cant remember so wire up a spark plug, power up the ignition, and wave the magnet over the sensor about a millimeter away. The ignition should fire when the magnet is removed from the sensor. If it doesn't fire, flip the magnet 180 and try again. If it does fire report back here what side fired the ignition because i'm serious, I dont remember. Hahahah!!

I have found that the red marking wears off very easily too even with minimal handling. Steve's method saves the day, and then marking it with something like red nail polish will last longer.

Hi Pete, I noticed that your previous photos have been hit by the Photosuckit scam  :disappointed: so I trotted off to Photosuckit to remind me of your build only to find that other than the home page I can't even click on the individual pictures on there and get to see them

Good luck with getting it running  :)
