Elmer's Open Column with Reverse 4X Scale

Showing my latest project as finished parts and assembly views.
Based on original drawings for basic dimensions and scaling up four times the majority of the parts are self designed.

The original overall size was 2 7/16" long x 1" wide and 1 1/4" tall. With the up scale fasteners and and hole sizes were determined as each part was made.

Starting with the engine frame I made it in three sections and used dowel pins to align the parts. The largest section has the main bearing and the porting for the air passages.

Front view with ports and pivot shaft in place for the valve.

The end view shows the 660 bronze bearing I made and loctited in place and bored for .6875 main shaft with .001" clearance. The aluminum blocked was bored at the mill and the bushing was finished at the lathe.
You can also see the porting thru the bushing. Close attention to the position of this bore and the end shaft support bearing was necessary for alignment.

Bottom view with .125 dowel pin holes and 10-32 taped mounting holes.

Top view with air inlet port taped 5/16-24 and two 10-32 taped holes for the flange to cylinder air line outlet.
