Mike, re the flying BGC pic - it's all done with string, mirrors, and tinned corned beef.    :shrug:  :headscratch:

I'm pretty sure this pic is what inspired the developers of the Harrier jump jet (or yump yet for those in Sweden) in later years.   :cheers:

I have been told by vets who drove the BGC in WW2 that their biggest issue with it was the extremely cramped driver position. On rough terrain you could get bashed around quite a bit, knees in particular.

"I've cut that stock three times, and it's still too short!"
