New runner for me
« on: December 13, 2019, 02:48:26 AM »
This is my first IC engine that I built years ago. Refurbished it recently, added a dedicated CDI.
Upshur design with some mod of my own.

That is a very nice engine and I like the base, too. In my woodworker life, I think I want to copy your corner joints with the curves.

Thank You for posting,

Thanks all.

I have another one of these Upsur designs that I built. (actually I build three at the time, but sold one off to a guy that really wanted it)
Anyway, it is in pieces, but enough there to get it running again.

I would like to offer it to someone, free, for the cost of shipping.

Great looking engine. I had the pleasure to call Dick Upshur my friend he would be pleased to see this one. He always loved when people put there spin on his engines.

Sid, what a beautiful looking engine- the sort of engine that most wives would allow to be displayed in the lounge!!

If your offer still stands i would like to take it up. What would the cost of shipping to the UK be?

I am currently attempting an Anzani aero engine so may be a year or so until i get around to another.

Can you tell me where i can find more details of   Upsur designs.

Very nice looking set up Sid, I love the fiddle-back Maple in the base.

Sid,
I love your spin on Hamilton's engine, the base is a work of art in it's own. I built his vertical single he passed away before I finished it but from what I've head here he'd have loved it because mine was highly modified. Trevorc, look at Strictly IC's website http://www.strictlyic.com/ they still sell magazines with the build articles and prints.
