A C5 chuck for my Myford
« on: November 24, 2019, 10:22:12 PM »
Christmas came early for me this year. I purchased an accusize c5 chuck and also some collets a spin indexer and a square collet holder it took a bit of fettling to get the chuck mounted. When I purchased the lathe back in 1970 I also got a spare back-plate this was only a 4 inch one and the chuck is 5 inch so with a bit of modification to the spare plate and some 20mm clamp nuts I was able to set it up with.0005" run out at 2 inches from the face of the collet. which is ok for what I am doing on mt almost 50 year old lathe.

That's great, Mike!  You'll love the collet chuck!  There're great to use.  That's probably my most used chuck in the shop.
Merry Christmas!
