Chris and Jim
I think that you will find that the best clamp tips are these ones and not the ones that you drew up Chris it looks like you drew the wood clamps which for model ship work are great for small gluing. I find that I mostly use the toolmakers clamps these are the simple type based on the miniature Lee Valley type. Chris your drawing prompted me to go looking in my old Toshiba laptop (2002) for the Auto cad LT 2000 file that the earlier drawing I posted was generated from. Here is an updated version of that original Cad file with the toolmakers clamps that I drew this morning. I'm a bit rusty on the auto cad because I do not use it much. It is an older version and my Windows 7 doesn't support it so it is on an old XP machine. I use Corel Draw 7 quite a bit because I found it easier to draw curves for model boats and you know how habits get. I must admit it was good to work with the cad program this morning.
