A lovely model Jason, there is lots to like/admire about it, the reversing mechanism is simple and effective, well done. I love the white paint job, a bit different from the usual Brunswick green and red. I am presuming you etched primed the brass cylinder prior to the finish coat. I have not had a lot of luck coating brass and getting it to be chip resistant. Do you have a secret method?

Thanks Robert. yes I use etch (UPOL Acid-8) on brass , bronze and Aluminium and then a coat of whatever primer colour the top coat needs over everything, in this case white primer for the off white topcoat. I also like to test run before painting to reduce the risk of damaging the paint if you have to start taking things apart or making lots of adjustments which can damage the finish.
