I like working with wood.  I did woodworking for quite some time before I was able to get a shop set up to do metalwork .  I like mechanisms, and it's much more fun in metal, but I did do some carvings in wood with moveable parts.   I suppose I should stop being lazy and post some pics of them somewhere here in case anyone would like to see them.

I'd like to see them Lee if you get a chance  :)

I work in lots of different materials, I even made some miniature terracotta pots a little while back!

Dear forum members,

(And especially to Jo)

Please accept my apologies for my very stupid, sarcastic and rude responce to what was a valid posting by Jo.

I was a bit stressed that weekend as I had just a week before given my notice in to a secure job to start another further away from home. (In this day and age, it can be a risky move. More so for an almost 58 year old "old phart")!
I have now been there almost two weeks and I am loving it (but I do feel, and have felt, an idiot for the above).
I am sorry for any bad feelings from me as this is NOT the place for me to transmit them. I have a wall I can use to bash my head against for that!!

Again all, my sincere apologies.

Kind regards,

Ron.

PS. The company I now work for is www.tg engineering.co.uk

Couldn't modify for some reason but the company site is www.tgengineering.co.uk
I am the sole user of the CNC grinder there plus I have to use the manual machines.

When I can, it's back into my cave! Hope that doesn't sound or seem sad!!

Ron.

I get the feeling that you could make a lot of great stuff at a place like that. Good to hear that you're liking it.

I have no problem working with wood and/or paint.  In fact I find it enjoyable. Here is my latest project

I have a feeling that I will be doing more of this.  Don't worry.  I won't post it.

There are things that you can do and some things you can't do. Don't worry about it. try it anyway.
