Hi MEM.
« on: July 28, 2019, 09:58:05 PM »
I am new to this board.
I am a retired machinist of fifty years.
The last 18 years was spent in the NASA "Goddard Space
Flight Center " outside Washington D.C.
In those years I have built three Traction Engines
Three steam locomotives, three electrics, and one gas locomotive.
I have maintained a shop all those years at home and
am ready to make more projects.
I have a 4" Burrell Simple Traction Engine
project from "Station Road Steam" and two
locomotives on the bench.
My shop is a mix of new and old machinery.
The oldest is a Pratt and Whitney
vertical shaper patented a hundred years
ago and the newest a Prototrak CNC lathe
about ten years old.

Hi kap and welcome. You should fit right in here. Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy in retirement.
