Long ( ish ) shot but who knows ??
« on: July 04, 2019, 09:01:33 AM »
Does anyone know of another UK supplier for these things:

https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/mounting-kits/6719208/

Some on EBAY UK @ a horrendous price ..  :o  not going there.

Can't find them at any of the other 'usual suspects'.

I could just use a flat plate I know ..

As you've found, transformers usually come with these, so little call for them separately. Nothing on Farnell / CPC.

I found some on Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toroidal-transformer-mounting-set-60mm/dp/B00N7I0SVI
Not giveaway cheap but you get the whole kit - and only have to buy one of them.

There are some on The Bay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311191278901?frcectupt=true why not take a chance on those?

Or failing that, make some up from Delrin or Nylon.

Hi Muzzer

Much the same as I found, some £6 to £FKW  per tranny.  More than i paid for them. A lot more   ;D...

I can wait for RS.  :smokin2:

Bought a job lot of toroidals abut 25-30 years ago when we had Radio Rallies and the like. I think I got them at Elvaston Castle rally. ( Derby )

None had the fitting kit but there are some 10 / 12 of them, 20VA up to 160 VA various voltages but all dual primary / secondary..

New transformers. Never used.

Cheers

I'd be cutting some drilled sheetmetal disks myself. Cheap as chips, no waiting. If they had to have the dished centre, a couple of simple mild steel press tools could be turned up in a morning and used in a vise.
"I've cut that stock three times, and it's still too short!"
