Small flycutter
« on: November 03, 2012, 10:54:06 PM »
Hi all.
I had some time in my cave today to make up :stir: a small fly cutter for the F3. Dia 27mm and 6x6mm hss cutter. the pics. are shot with my cell phone camera which not gives the best result reg. the focus. but here we go. Here you can see the cross patterns that verify that the tramming I did yesterday is satisfying :whoohoo:

And here is the result after a light scrub with a 3M mat.

Here are two pics. of the cutter in the Acieraf3.

Best reg.
Crankshafter.

crankshafter what kind of mill is that?  it looks to be very well made and capable of some serious cutting.

and the fly cutter looks to be doing a very good job as well...........congrats  , don't you just love it when something you build works like it should?

Hi.
I was expecting the question reg. this mill. It's a Aciera F3 that I layed my hands on last winter.
It's a nice mill, table tilts in X and Y axis.
and I got the horizontal arm, the much desirable slottinghead and a full set of W20 collets :whoohoo:  for the price of a X2 minimill here in Norway :LittleDevil: :lolb: :lolb:.
I know you like pictures so here are some from my cellphone( note to myself: go and dig out my real camera with proper focus and macro function :slap:) OK here we go:

Ps: if you want more info on this mill visit: Lathes.uk

A nice day to you all.
