Here ya go Don....

Over arm support for the back of the file. Neatly designed to position and lock up with one thumb knob on the right. Next is another similar assembly with a work hold down finger that will swing and pivot and rise and fall on the vertical post on the right like this one does, but independent of it.....needs a shorter screw....

OK got the hold down clamping block done....no picture as it's the same as the one in the picture above.   I'm working on the arm.

The design is a cotter design, and I originally did a .38 radius groove, but I don't have a ball turner that will do that and I don't want to make a form tool for 1 cut

So I'll simplify that design just a skosh....and make it trapazoidal....it'll work the same way, but be easier to machine.

Done!!!

Works well,   Some of my file shanks are a bit long, so I'll need to shorten them a bit...but I'm happy

Thats pretty neat, Dave!
I don't remember seeing that top roller bearing on other die filers I've seen.  Is that your own addition?

Oh many did..and they had different configurations to fit the files.   Some flat wheeled, and some V wheeled.    This casting set didn't have provision for one, so I drew one up and added a hold down arm as well.

The arm could be 3/8 of an inch shorter or so....to get closer to the file...but it works well enough and making a new one is pretty easy If I choose to...
