Hi folks
Here is Part 2 of the build, or at least Half of it as I have to break it up as the video was getting to large.
When I was editing the video I realized that the sound quality was not the best so that is my next goal is to improve sound and camera angles.
It is quite difficult machining with a tripod in your back pocket.
Hope you enjoy.

Hi Folks
Here is part two of the Stuart cylinder build, I have decided to break this portion of the build into smaller videos to keep them as short as possible and I can post them up at a smaller time frame (at least one per week).
Hope you enjoy.
Gary.

Hi Folks
Here is Part 3 of the build "machining the flywheel" hope you enjoy.
The completion of the cylinder assembly is awaiting parts from the UK, (cast piston rings) I will then post a video of the cylinder assy.
Thank you
Gary

Slick video presentation Gary, I whizzed through it to see the finished flywheel which looks very smart.

Thanks Andy
I'll give it a paint over the next few days and post up a photo.
I don't have to tell you how difficult it can be machining cast parts.
All the best
Gary

The machined flywheel with it's new coat of paint looks very nice Gary, your engine is coming on well.  Dave

Gary, just a thought, I know that you have been interested in Chipmaster's build of the big "Major" beam, as am I, ( I have made one...)  but I wonder if you have seen a number of other build logs on this forum that specifically feature the type of somewhat smaller Stuart beam engine that you are making yourself?
In particular I'm thinking of the lovely engine that is set in an engine house diorama that J.L. has written up very fully, in "Engines from castings" section , titled  "Stuart beam engine in diorama",  series begins June 01, 2017.     Dave
