Going nuts
« on: May 10, 2019, 07:21:20 PM »
This morning I went to an estate sale that included a large basement hobby machine shop.  I bought some useful things and some "aspirational" things, of which the most optimistic was a box of several hundred brass 1/4-20 nuts, half hex and half acorn.  That's several lifetimes worth, but I know how pricey these are when you need to buy just a few.

So if any MEM members need some of either type for a project, drop me a line.  Free for the cost of postage.

Nice find and no doubt worth the price. Years ago I got a whole boxfull (like 8x8x6in) of small copper fittings for maybe 1/8" and 1/4" copper tubing. Don't think I have used a one yet, but they will likely come in handy some day. They would be hard to find I bet and I probably paid no more than $5.00 for the whole box....ells, t's, etc.
