« on: April 06, 2019, 03:31:51 PM »
Hi,

I am looking for the following:

1930 vol 62 issue1520  pg617  LBSC
"Shops, Shed and Road. A Column of ""Live Steam""""The T.R.R. North loop junction, Toonerville R.R., rough plan, sketch of switch stand, cars loaded for testing, overhauled T.R.R. locomotive No. 5, roundhouse and shops, photos by C.Holt

Would love to buy the issue or see scans of the relevant pages. Anyone might have this?
Also a couple of others, but I will start with this.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,  glad you like them ....LBSC is renowned for talking and writing in his own vernacular style ... So  'dough'  is money  just for an example. Also when i first stated to read his  "words and music" i was rather intrigued when he talked about  'chucking' a piece of metal !! i was wondering where this piece of metal went after it had been  "chucked"  ie = thrown  !!!

For those that are interested here is the story behind me asking for these:

We have some hard copies of the magazines coming from the UK, but seeing these pictures and reading the text answered a lot of questions.

And Willy, I have been reading ME since I was a kid in the 70's and am pretty familiar with LBSC's style! Also have a well thumbed copy of Shop Shed and Road!
Thanks again for the pictures!
