Excellent progress I think I will have ago at one however I will have to convert it to metric Marv's picture shows a square cylinder is this a different engine or just modified for easier manufacture?
Hi Doc,I'm building a "Tiny' version of the Huff and Puff. For the piston/piston rod part I made the piston a screw on piece. The reason being, where the rod connects to the connecting rod it's a round cross section and I wanted to make it square. Doing it this way won't allow the rod to go through the hole in the base so I threaded the end, screwed the piston on then turned the piston to size with it mounted. To assemble it I stick the rod through the base, tighten the piston then mount the cylinder. You might have a look at modifying that part. gbritnell
Looking great, but not what I was expecting! To me huff and puff is a technique..................................
