Hallo,
ich habe ja vor ein paar Jahren hier mein Patent als Modell gefunden. Hat mich sehr gefreut. Nun nach Monkey und Elenore bin ich auch dabei ein Modell zu bauen. Die Maße sind B 22mm und Hub 16mm ergibt 25cc. Die ersten Teile sind fertig. Zylinder und Nockenwelle. Die Ventile haben 8mm Durchmesser!

Hello,
I found my patent as a model here a few years ago. I was very happy. Now, after Monkey and Elenore, I'm also building a model. The dimensions are B 22mm and stroke 16mm gives 25cc. The first parts are ready. Cylinder and camshaft. The valves have 8mm diameter!

Do you have any pictures of what the final engine is going to look like? The patent would be useful

How did you make the inlet? It looks very fine.

auf meiner Webseite sind Bilder von Monkey und Elenore zu sehen. Der V8 läuft auch schon aber noch gut für ein schönes Video. Kommt wenn es etwas wärmer ist draußen.
Den Ansaugkrümmer habe bei i.materialise in Auftrag gegeben, Alusintern einfach super!!

On my website you can see pictures of Monkey and Elenore. The V8 is synonymous but still good for a nice video. Come when it's a bit warmer outside.
The intake manifold was commissioned at i.materialise, aluminum internals just great !!

Der Monkey und der Elinor sind sehr interessante Motoren, ein völlig anderes Konzept, um die Kolben auf und ab zu bewegen.

Der Modellmotor hat kein geschlossenes Kurbelgehäuse, das Schmieröl wird überallhin gelangen. Soll nur das spezielle patentierte Kolbengestänge demonstriert werden und ist auf kurze Auflagen begrenzt. Mischen Sie Öl mit dem Kraftstoff, um die offenen Zylinder zu schmieren?

Hello Dieter,

The Monkey and the Elinor are very interesting engines, a completely different concept to drive the pistons up and down.

The model engine does not have a closed crankcase, the lubrication oil will go everywhere. Is it only intended only to demonstrate the special patent piston linkage and limited to short runs. Do you mix oil with the fuel to lubricate the open cylinders?

Der Modellmotor soll schon laufen, es kommt Öl zum Kraftstoff. Heute die Nockenlager fertig gemacht es kommen Trockenlaufbüchsen zum Einsatz.
Soll ja nur zur Demo laufen und kein Modell antreiben. Auch Bilder meiner Maschine kann man auch im Rollstuhl gut bedienen.

The model engine should already run, it comes to fuel oil. Today, the cam bearings made ready dry running bushes are used.
Should only run to the demo and drive no model. Even pictures of my machine can be operated well in a wheelchair.

Hallo,
die Nockenwelle ist montiert und die Ventile auf 0,05- 0,1mm Spiel so habe ich die Nocken gefräst. Auf der Maschine einen Testlauf gemacht, hier der Link zum Video.
Nun sind die Nocken schön blank.

Hello,
The camshaft is mounted and the valves are at 0.05-0.1mm clearance so I milled the cams. On the machine a test run made, here the link to the video.
Now the cams are nice and shiny.

Zylinderbüchsen eingepresst, ausgedreht und gehont.
Cylinder liners pressed in, turned out and honed.

Gut aussehende Teile.
Aus welchem Material bestehen sie?
Sind die Stifte im Presssitz oder können sie sich frei drehen?
Ist es möglich, ein Lineal neben den Teilen zu platzieren, um ein Gefühl für die Skalierung zu bekommen?

What material are they made from?
Are the pins a press fit or are they free to rotate?
Is it possible to place a ruler next to the parts, so we can get a sense of scale?

Hallo Mike,
ich verwende grundsätzlich Alu EN AW-AlZn5,5MgCu (7075)!
Für die Kolben nehmen ich Alu AlSi1MgMn (6082).
Die Stifte sind frei drehbar und haben 4mm Durchmesser (Nadelrollen).
Hier ein Bild mit Zollstock, die erste Aufspannung der kurzen Pleuel ist auch dabei.

I basically use Alu EN AW-AlZn5.5MgCu (7075)!
For the pistons I use Alu AlSi1MgMn (6082).
The pins are freely rotatable and have 4mm diameter (needle rollers).
Here is a picture with folding rule, the first clamping of the short connecting rods is also included.

Kurbelwelle und die kleinen Pleuel sind fertig.
Im Gabelpleuelfuß ist eine Nadelhülse HK 0609 eingebaut.
Nun geht es an die Kolben!

Why do you use a closed needle bearing, instead of an open one, and how do you get lubrication into it ?
On a full size engine they are always open bearings, if they are needle, ball or roller bearings ....
