Saint's Alive
« on: April 05, 2019, 02:18:34 PM »
Just spent the morning at the Didcot Railway Centre home of the Great Western Society, they have recreated a GWR Saint class loco from a Hall class.
This exercise has taken twenty-four years from inception to today’s triumph and cost close to a million pounds, the engine had its first public run with a train of Edwardian coaches freshly painted and lined for the occasion, it was a wonderful sight of an age of elegance. Here a short video of the occasion

Those coaches are as beautiful as the engine Mike. Obviously the event raised a lot of excitement judging by the number of spectators. Thanks for posting the video!!
