Compared to my current Novakon mill, the Vulcan has a considerably smaller work envelope. But it wins in having servos vs. stepper, 10K vs. 4K max rpm, BT30 vs. R8, power vs. manual drawbar, 5 vs. 2 HP.Waiting to see price with stand, enclosure, and coolant.
Yes...I made the cut to get a machine. Initially I was really excited but as I looked at the costs to get the machine tooled up the price is just too high. The ultimate number is getting into the territory of a used Haas or similar. I toyed with selling my Aciera F2 to help fund it but I really don't want to get rid of it. I may regret this going forward but I just couldn't justify it at this point. I am looking forward to see the machine and hear others experience.
