Superb result 'kendo' - some excellent and careful machining there complimented by a very nicely produced display stand

If it runs as well as it looks then I guess you are well pleased with the outcome.

That's a pretty little engine, very reminiscent of the Morton 5 cylinder radial engine from the 1940's, except with only the three cylinders.

You may of noticed the carburettor is at 90 degrees , it should be at the bottom but it was
dripping fuel and there did not seem to be enough venturi to draw the fuel up.

I was also going to ask about the carburetor.
One of my engine friends is currently building one of these; he is working on the rocker arms and has the majority of the engine machined.

I've never made an IC engine (yet!) but they look quite difficult to get running based on what I read about here.

The tank is quite high so that could explain the dripping. If it won't suck then a smaller dia carb or a sleeve inside the existing one will increase the air velocity which created a higher vacuum

and starts readily too. Like Jason I had the drawings when published in Model Engine Builder - have a sneaking feeling I parted with them sometime ago too
