Horizontal finger engine conrod?
« on: January 27, 2019, 03:03:20 PM »
Hey Everyone,
Looking for a little help with the conrod dementions. The plans using are by Birk Peterson from the 1991 June edition of Projects in Metal. I'm not scaling up and have read that the connecting rod maybe the wrong length and hard to operate.  Is this the case? If so, what's the correct length? I've already made base and bearing supports.
Thanks again for your help  !

How about an adjustable length one?

One and Done or make the adjustment and measure it to make the final version?

V 45,   I copied this down several years ago but have never tried it but it came from a guy with many years of experience doing everything imaginable. I think he is John B. but not positive. He may go by Boggs ? I hope it helps.      Gary

It was John Bogstandard or Bogs - I do admittedly not know his real name - but remember that he was originally employed by Rolls Royce and one of the founding members of this site  :praise2:
