Hello from France
« on: January 23, 2019, 11:32:19 AM »
Hello I'm Mehdi from France.
I recently discovered the passion of tiny engine while searching a good project to learn how to use a lathe and a mill.

I'm still looking around to find good starting project with simple motor, I red some topics on this forum and it totally
motivated me to register !

My goal is to design some engine myself later.

Welcome Medhi, it would be interesting to know a little about what lathe and other tooling you will be using for your hobby.  This forum is a very friendly one and members will enjoy giving any help that they can.    Dave

Mehdi,
Welcome to the forum. You will find any number of suggestions for starter engines and advise should you require it. Good luck with your first engine.

I'll use the few there are in a local HackerSpace "Electrolab", I'll note the reference next time I go there but it's some pretty big lathe and mill. A guy with some experience will show me the basics of working with those :)

Mehdi, I split your question and discussion on small lathes out and put it in the help on machines, tooling and fixtures section.
