That engine with it's cladding looks well Jo   Did you cut it on it's own or in a "sandwich"?

Thanks Guys  :)

I am calling that made Per but I am expecting Eric to want to fiddle with it, he always fiddles with any engine he gets near  ::)

Terry, the cladding was cut by clamping it between two bits of steel angle and using an angle grinder with a sanding disc to grind it to size and ensuring the edge is straight  :-X Drilling holes in the cladding was just as much fun as the Blueing process they used causes it to hardened   :toilet_claw:

But what is that triple expansion engine in the near background?

That is one of my three Stuart Triple Orphans that I will be finishing off doing some on next but I would prefer to be allowed a new set of castings  :-\

Nice to see your engine with the blued clading .
you say the metal was hard,  the blued sheet supplied for my no 4. went into a series of flats with cracks in the surface and that was from the original stuart turner.

Wow!  I'm always amazed in how a little color makes these models pop.  Looks great Jo.

Thanks Guys,

Yes Surus thought it was good enough for his collection so much that I was allowed a base casting off another engine to face the bottom of  :) I am hoping to be allowed the remainder of the set if it also meets approval  :naughty:
